SCOUT OATH

On my honor I will do my best

To do my duty to God and my country

and to obey the Scout Law;

To help other people at all times;

To keep myself physically strong,

mentally awake and morally straight.

SCOUT LAW

  A scout is trustworthy, loyal,

helpful, friendly, courteous, kind,

obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave,

clean, and reverent.

The Boy Scout program promises a scout:

  1. The opportunity to explore the great outdoors
  2. The opportunity to make new friends and strengthen old friendships by working with other scouts
  3. The opportunity to work towards the highest rank in scouting – Eagle Scout through setting positive goals for yourself and following through
  4. The opportunity to learn the tools to help out your family, community and nation
  5. The opportunity to help you mature into a strong and wise adult by following the Scout Law and Scout Oath.

Troop 977 meets at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Thursday evenings in the gym from 7:00 to 8:45pm from September to early June.  During this time the scouts have an opportunity to work on merit badges, advancements, get ready for weekend campouts and play games.
