Wednesdays 7:00PM
(repeated on Sundays 4:00PM)...
A Six-week Encounter with the 21st Century HeartWe are offering a VITALLY IMPORTANT discussion / investigation into a growing phenomenon in our culture: the increasing number of people who are passionately interested in Jesus Christ, but want little or nothing to do with the Church. They like Jesus, but NOT the Church! This six-week investigation will be offered twice a week and be team-taught by Pastor and Ginger. On Wednesdays, starting April 9th (7:00 p.m.) and then repeated on Sundays beginning April 13th (4:00 p.m.), we will discuss what it is about the modern mindset, the Church and (most of all) Jesus that brings about this trend! We will look at what others think of us and we will discuss how we, the Church, can respond to the world around us! The Church, after all, is the Body of Christ and is dearly loved by God. But we need to see how, in our current environment, we might reach out in love to those around us who do not share the same opinion about us that God does. Join us for this challenging and potentially life-changing event! Childcare will be provided for those needing it! Any questions? Contact either Pastor or Ginger at 708 867-5044! |

Sundays 9:30AM...
Adventures in How Not to Be a Pharisee(The Sunday Morning Bible Class) Beginning Sunday, April 6th, at 9:30 a.m. we feature a great, new look into the teachings of the Bible – a look that comes from a different angle. It’s a six-session class that investigates the Pharisees of the New Testament (who often seemed to be Jesus’ sworn enemies) and what we can learn about OURSELVES through this encounter! The Pharisees obviously missed the point and were often the targets of Jesus’ harshest criticisms! But here’s the clinker: how often are we guilty of the same Pharisaic behaviors!? How often do we mimic the Pharisees by the doing the very same things Jesus condemned? This class will wrestle with those issues! The class meets in the Gym of the school. Coffee and ‘goodies’ are available to sustain you! Come and be a part of this fascinating study! But watch out, you might find yourself agreeing with the old ‘Pogo’ comic strip: “We have met the enemy and they is us!” |

God For Us! Yes, He Really Is! God is really for us! God is on our side! God is on YOUR side! He really, truly and actually is! He loves you with a love that goes beyond anything any of us could possibly imagine. We want you know that and we want you to become convinced of that! To make this reality something that is part of who you are we are offering Ten-sessions of time spent together with others in which we will see the many facets of how God is truly “for us!” It’ll be a wondrous journey and adventure as we connect ourselves to God and see how He continuously longs to be on our side! “God For Us” is also designed for those who wish to deepen their discipleship – their following of Jesus – by becoming part of the Fellowship at St. Paul Lutheran Church. We don’t like talking about ‘joining’ or ‘membership’ anymore – it’s all about discipleship… about truly growing in our relationship with God by being part of our fellowship. “God For Us” is an important step to take toward that end. Become part of the “God For Us” experience! Try it out. Find out exactly how much God is in love with us… and in love with you! (Childcare provided) Yes! I’m interested in “God For Us”!
