| A day camp and Vacation Bible School, sponsored by Alaska Mission for Christ, was conducted in Chistochina, Alaska, the week of June 25-29. This is the 3rd year that St. Paul has been going to Chistochina to share the gospel of Christ with the Athabascan Native Americans. We started our day with a day camp that contained several activities throughout the morning, along with an opportunity to go outside and play games while enjoying the perfect weather that was granted us. We then served a nutritious lunch to all of the kids in attendance. Our VBS took place in the afternoon, where we introduced the Bible theme of the day, played Bible story games, sang Bible-based songs, did crafts, ate a snack, and had all-around fun. It was great to see many familiar faces from previous years, and we also made many new friends that were new this year. We enjoyed sharing their culture and their way of life, and we look forward to returning again next year. |
